Manage Workspaces in Rossum

What exactly is a Workspace, and why is it a good idea to create one?

Workspace allows you to group Queues that are related. You can think of it as a large organizational unit representing a specific customer (if you are a business process outsourcing company) or a department. Read this short guide to learn how to manage workspaces in your Rossum app.

How to create a new Workspace

  1. Click the “+” sign next to “All documents” in the top left corner of the app.

  2. Select the “Add workspace” option.

  3. Place your new workspace name and click the “Add a workspace” button to confirm.

Note: The newly created workspace does not include any Queues. You need to create a new Queue and assign it to the workspace.

How to rename a Workspace

  1. Click on the three dots next to the workspace’s name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).

  2. Select the ‘Rename’ option.

How to add a Queue to a Workspace

There are two ways of doing this:

  1. Click on the “+” next to “All documents” in the top left corner or three-dotted drop-down menu next to the workspace name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).

  2. Select the ‘Add queue’ option

  1. A new window will appear. Select the document type that your new queue will use:

  1. Place your new queue’s name, select the Workspace where you want to place it and click “Add queue”.

How to delete a Workspace

If you no longer need a workspace, you can delete it. To do so:

  1. Click on the three dots next to the workspace’s name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).

  2. Select the ‘Delete’ option.

  3. Click on the red “Permanently delete workspace” button.

All queues must first be removed before a workspace can be deleted.
