What exactly is a Workspace, and why is it a good idea to create one?
Workspace allows you to group Queues that are related. You can think of it as a large organizational unit representing a specific customer (if you are a business process outsourcing company) or a department. Read this short guide to learn how to manage workspaces in your Rossum app.
How to create a new Workspace
Click the “+” sign next to “All documents” in the top left corner of the app.
Select the “Add workspace” option.
Place your new workspace name and click the “Add a workspace” button to confirm.
Note: The newly created workspace does not include any Queues. You need to create a new Queue and assign it to the workspace.
How to rename a Workspace
Click on the three dots next to the workspace’s name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).
Select the ‘Rename’ option.
How to add a Queue to a Workspace
There are two ways of doing this:
Click on the “+” next to “All documents” in the top left corner or three-dotted drop-down menu next to the workspace name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).
Select the ‘Add queue’ option
A new window will appear. Select the document type that your new queue will use:
Place your new queue’s name, select the Workspace where you want to place it and click “Add queue”.
How to delete a Workspace
If you no longer need a workspace, you can delete it. To do so:
Click on the three dots next to the workspace’s name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).
Select the ‘Delete’ option.
Click on the red “Permanently delete workspace” button.
All queues must first be removed before a workspace can be deleted.
