# Manage Workspaces in Rossum

## What is a Workplace?

A Workspace is a top-level container for related queues. It’s a good idea to create separate workspaces for different departments, business units, or clients – to group queues in a logical way.

## How to create a new Workspace

1. Click the “**+**” sign next to “**All documents**” in the top left corner of the app.
2. Select the “**Add workspace**” option.
3. Enter a descriptive name for the workspace and confirm. The new workspace will appear in your left panel.

> Note: The newly created workspace does not include any Queues. You need to create a new Queue and assign it to the workspace.

## How to rename a Workspace

1. Click on the three dots next to the workspace’s name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).
2. Select the ‘**Rename**’ option.

## How to add a Queue to a Workspace

There are two ways of doing this:

1. Click on the “**+**” next to “**All documents**” in the top left corner or three-dotted drop-down menu next to the workspace name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).
2. Select the ‘**Add queue**’ option

1. A new window will appear. Select the document type that your new queue will use:

1. Place your new queue’s name, select the Workspace where you want to place it and click “**Add queue**”.

## How to delete a Workspace

If you no longer need a workspace, you can delete it. To do so:

1. Click on the three dots next to the workspace’s name (if you see a number instead, hover over it to reveal the tree dots).
2. Select the ‘**Delete**’ option.
3. Click on the red “**Permanently delete workspace**” button.

> [!WARNING]
> All queues must first be removed before a workspace can be deleted.
