# Document Translation in Rossum

We are introducing a new document translation feature, now available in beta. This feature helps annotators understand documents in different languages while keeping the original text accessible.

## How It Works

- A single button in the toolbar allows users to toggle translation on and off.

- The keyboard shortcut Ctrl + T also toggles translation after activation.
- It translates only the visible text in the document.
- Hovering or clicking on a value shows the original text for quick comparison.

## Seamless Annotation Experience

- As annotators work, values from the original language are captured.
- The bounding boxes and user experience remain unchanged.
- Users can easily switch between the two languages using the shortcut or mouse hover.

## Language Support

- The target language is automatically set based on user profile settings.
